GROUP SPEECH: There will be a brief Large Group Speech meeting this Wednesday, December 3 at 3:30 p.m. in the choir room. If you have a conflict and cannot attend, please let Kristi Martin know as soon as possible. Thank you!

BASEBALL: There is now a baseball sign up in the office. Please sign up ASAP (there is a clip board with the sign up on it near the Christmas tree). There will be a player/parent meeting with Coach Roseberry on Sunday 12/14 in the evening. (time TBD)

On Thursday, December 4 at 1:30pm, Union High School will be hosting a presentation on mental health and suicide prevention. Your parents received email communication regarding this presentation last week. Please speak with them about it. Parents would need to call the school if you need to opt out of this presentation. We will be following an alternative schedule on this day. That schedule is here:

WINTER CHEER SIGN UP: There is now a cheer sign up for winter sports in the office.

The La Porte City Lions Club is looking for volunteers to help at their upcoming breakfast fundraiser. This will be at the La Porte City American Legion from 8-12 on Saturday, December 6. Please contact Shawn Mehlert at 319-342-3121 or email at smehlert@gmail.com if you’d like to volunteer.

Northwest Iowa Community College will be visiting UHS on Wednesday, December 3rd at 2 PM (middle of 7th hour). NWICC is located in Sheldon, Iowa and is known for their programs in Powerline Technology, Heavy Equipment and Diesel Technology, Welding, Engineering Design, Radiologic Technology, Nursing and more. This visit is open to sophomores through seniors. You must sign up on this Google Form in advance to attend.
