Spanning 256 square miles, Union Community School District serves the communities of La Porte City and Dysart. Located just south of the Cedar Valley (Waterloo and Cedar Falls), allows for a small school atmosphere with multiple opportunities for students, but has access to the amenities of a larger urban area.
The Union Community School District has four attendance centers.
