THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1ST BLACK DAY DAY 4

  • You can bring in your GOT U’S to put your name in for  the Prize Table Drawing…..  I will draw the winners on Friday afternoons. Good Luck!!  
  • 7th Graders:  The Iowa League of Cities invites 7th-grade students to participate in the “If I Were Mayor” essay contest, sponsored by Snyder & Associates, promoting civic engagement and leadership. Regional winners receive scholarships, and a statewide winner is honored at a city council event. Mayors and educators want to encourage student  involvement in local government. Stop in the office for more information.  
  • The Wolf Creek Players are excited for their upcoming play, “The Many Disguises of Robin Hood” . They are looking for any K-12 students, who would like to participate. There are many parts  available…  Dates for practices, etc are 11/1/26-11/8/26, all practices and performances will be here at UMS in the Auditorium .  If you are interested please let me know in the office or you can contact the director (Deb)  at 319-404-5412 or email: wolfcreekplayers2009@gmail.com.   
  • MARK THOSE CALENDARS FOR THE UPCOMING  “GARRISONS HAUNTED” ….. KICKS OFF  ON OCTOBER 16-17, special opening.  OCTOBER 23-24 , 7:00-11:00 pm and OCTOBER 31 from 8-10 pm. Located on Main Street in Garrison, IA. Admission is $15.00. Children under 12, must be accompanied by an adult.  SPOOKTACULAR FUN!!! 
  • HERE ARE THE HOMECOMING DRESS UP DAYS FOR NEXT WEEK: : (10/5/-10/9)   Monday – Jersey Day,  Tuesday – Country vs. Country Club,       Wednesday – Color Wars:    8th- blue    7th-red    6th-white      staff-pink        Thursday –  Adam Sandler Day       Friday – School Spirit
  • Good Luck to our Football and Volleyball players today as they both play right here at home! Games start at 4:15 pm. GO KNIGHTS! Concessions will be offered inside tonight!!! 
  •   The Cross Country  meet has been cancelled for today, but there WILL BE practice.
  • Congrats to Kash Kriz, Ryker Brown, and Isaac Daly on winning the Silent Auctions!!!   
  • REMINDER to 6th graders…… your field trip to Roger’s Park is tomorrow. Be sure to bring lunch if needed, wear appropriate clothes and shoes for the day.
