Congratulations Gabe Hanson on making the Sweet 16 in the National FFA Prepared Public Speaking Contest!!! Gabe received a silver rating for his hard work! Excellent job representing Union Community Schools, La Porte-Dysart FFA, and the Iowa FFA Association.

Thank you to all that help with the Student Food Drive 4th hour Competition! You raised $1,587 and 14 boxes of non-perishable food items. The money alone equals 6,348 meals for the Northeast Iowa Food Bank! The winning 4th hour class will be announced today 5th hour. NHS is taking the donations to the Food Bank on Friday and we’ll announce our standing that afternoon. Awesome job seeing so many in our school giving back!

There will be no UP with Mrs. Kriz this week. Those with UP study hall on Wednesday only will report to Room 13.

The U.S. Marines will be in the lunchroom on Tuesday to answer questions and provide information to anyone interested.

There are now wrestling and basketball CHEER sign ups in the office.
