Student’s yearbooks that were sold last year will be handed out during WIN today in the Media and AUD. If you cannot pick it up today stop by room 1 after school and pick it up or tomorrow.
On Tuesday, September 7, Iowa Corn Growers Association will be bringing the Iowa Corn Mobile Educational Trailer to Union High School for a presentation through the high school science and agriculture courses. This year they have graciously donated a water bottle filling station that will be installed near Mr. Sacquitne’s room. On Tuesday, this trailer will be parked in the north parking lot. Cones will be set up where the trailer will be. If you could avoid parking in that coned off area, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
There will be a meeting in Mr. Bergmeier’s classroom during WIN TODAY to discuss FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and the Veteran’s Day Assembly. Those interested, please feel free to attend.
Volunteer Opportunity: The Dysart Ambulance Service is hosting their Pork Chop Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, September 11th from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Dysart Community Building (upstairs). They are looking for some help with clearing tables, serving drinks, possibly serving food, helping guests take their plates to tables, etc. If you are interested, please contact Amanda Schneider at schneider719@gmail.com. You should arrive between 5:00-5:15 to go over roles and you can leave at 7:30 when we are finished serving (unless you want to stay longer to help clean-up).
The PSAT/NMSQT is a qualifying test junior students can take to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation competitions for college scholarships awarded in 2023. Learn more about the PSAT/NMSQT here. Money to test is due to Mrs. Kriz by September 10. The cost is $18.
