Monday, May 10th, 2021 RED Day Day #5

  •  If you have GOT U Tickets be sure to put them in for our weekly drawing in the office.  BE sure to write your first and last name on the back of the tickets!!  This drawing will be for an item of your choice out of the case and a pizza coupon.   I will draw the winners on Friday! Good Luck! 
  • The 5th graders will be visiting tomorrow.   


  • Reminder :  students please be wearing your masks properly and follow the arrows in the hallways.    
  • Silver Cord Hours have been updated again.  They are on the side  of the trophy case.  Be sure to check them out!!! Any questions or concerns just let me know! Thanks!   8th graders don’t forget if you plan to earn your 100 hours, please turn in your hours!  These will need to be turned in ASAP!!! 
  • Reminder:  ALL Detention time and fees need to be taken care of by Friday, May 28th
  • NO MORNING WORKOUTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. 
  • Please check the list on the window by the office door.  These are the students who have already purchased a yearbook.  You can still purchase a yearbook if you want to, they are $20.00  


  • Silver Cord Opportunity coming up in June.   The Benton County Cattlemen Beef Booth during the Benton County Fair in Vinton on June 23rd through the 27th. Please contact Lori Wauters if interested in helping.  jlwaters@netins.net 


  • Great job to our boys and girls track teams Friday night at Conrad. 
  • Congratulations to the girls track team for another FIRST PLACE FINISH on Friday night!  There were many personal records achieved and great times!  Way to go, girls.
  • First place finishers included: Kate Craft in the discus, Myah Pont in the 100m dash, Lily Lorenzen in the 800m run, Neeley Hennings in the 200m hurdles, Amila Condon in the 1500m run, the shuttle hurdle team of Addie Pospisil, Jailyn Petersen, Amilia Condon, and Emily Anton,  and the distance medley team of Jailyn Petersen, Emily Anton, Reagan Glenn, and Lily Lorenzen.
  • Second place finishers included: Lily Lorenzen in the high jump, Jailyn Petersen in the 100 m hurdles, the 4×100 team of Myah Pont, Josie Bergmeier, Emily Anton, and Neeley Hennings, and the 4×400 team of Lily Lorenzen, Ruby Parson, Amilia Condon, and Kate Carlson. 

 

       
 
  • Boys were 2nd as a team Friday with 95.5 points. Grundy Center won with 131.5
  • Preston Christie broke his own school record in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.24.  He was 2nd place in the event.
  • Andrew Sadler won the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.95.  His best time of the year!  He is getting close to the school record for 8th grade himself.
  • 2nd place finishers were the 
  • Shuttle Hurdle relay of Preston Christie, Mays Weber, Ethan Winnike, and Briar Mast.
  • Caden Sorensen in the 200 dash
  • Andrew Sadler in the 200 hurdles
  • 4 x 100 relay team of Evan Hanus, Justice Luke, Briar Mast, and Hunter Anderson.
  • Great Job!  Good luck at the NICL meet at Denver tomorrow!
