A VERY SINCERE AND BELATED CONGRATULATIONS to the Union Competition Dance team for killing it in Des Moines last Thursday and Friday!! Both routines earned Division I ratings! Their Hip Hop routine placed 3rd and their Novelty routine placed 4th! Very impressive showing ladies!!!

Mr. Slater will be meeting with students for the 2nd School Improvement Panel on Thursday, in Mrs. Zondo’s room during WIN time. If you were NOT selected, you will be part of the group meeting the following Thursday, Dec 19th.
On Thursday, January 2, 2020, Mrs. Kriz is offering a FREE practice ACT test for any interested junior. You will go through an actual sample ACT test, the time constraints, the test setting, testing rules, etc. Testing begins at 8:30 am and you’ll be done around noon. Mrs. Kriz will score your tests and return them to you with scores for studying purposes within a few weeks. Please note this is still during your winter break. Another practice test will not be offered later in the school year. There must be a minimum of 5 students signed up in order to hold this opportunity. Your name must be submitted by December 13 at 3:15 pm through the Google Form emailed to you.
Reminder, Auditions for the spring musical are next week. The musical is open to anyone in the high school and information can be found on google classroom if you search Spring Musical and enter the class code of oszgpa

Junior Boys: The American Legion sponsor’s Boys State which is a week long event held annually at Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center in Johnston, Iowa. This goal of Boys State is to educate and train students in the understanding of one this country’s most precious freedoms: the democratic form of government.
