- This week is FIRE PREVENTION WEEK… Be sure to know your escape route in your homes in case of a fire. Also, be sure to check your smoke detectors and make sure they are working properly….
- 7th Graders: The Iowa League of Cities invites 7th-grade students to participate in the “If I Were Mayor” essay contest, sponsored by Snyder & Associates, promoting civic engagement and leadership. Regional winners receive scholarships, and a statewide winner is honored at a city council event. Mayors and educators want to encourage student involvement in local government. Stop in the office for more information.
- The Wolf Creek Players are excited for their upcoming play, “The Many Disguises of Robin Hood” . They are looking for any K-12 students, who would like to participate. There are many parts available… Dates for practices, etc are 11/1/26-11/8/26, all practices and performances will be here at UMS in the Auditorium . - MARK THOSE CALENDARS FOR THE UPCOMING “GARRISONS HAUNTED” ….. KICKS OFF ON OCTOBER 16-17, with a special opening. OCTOBER 23-24 , 7:00-11:00 pm and OCTOBER 31 from 8-10 pm. Located on Main Street in Garrison, IA. Admission is $15.00. Children under 12, must be accompanied by an adult. SPOOKTACULAR FUN!!!
