Union Girls Tennis played in the Class 1A Region #4 Individual Regional yesterday. Congratulations to Allison Timmer and doubles partner Sophya Taylor who advanced on to the semi-finals and were beat out by the top Columbus State Qualifying team of Avery Hogan and partner Kate Holton. Also, congratulations to Miya Uchiyama-Hansen our #1 senior player who went into the quarter final rounds and took 4th place yesterday also getting beat out by the #1 ranked player in Class 1A from Columbus senior Sophia Fain. The Union Girls Tennis Team will play in the team regional this Saturday facing Central DeWitt who is currently ranked #8 in the state. The Union Girls Tennis Team wishes to thank the UHS Boys Tennis Team for their flexibility in sharing courts all season, for their willingness to challenge and play matches to better both teams, and for their support this season. Also, the girls wish all of the spring sports and activities well as we wrap up our spring activities season! Thank you for your support!

Congratulations to Mack Schmitz for his 4th place individual finish at the sectional golf meet yesterday in Monticello! He advanced to district play on Monday where he will compete to make it to the state tournament in Ames.

SENIORS, COLLEGE SHIRT DAY MONDAY: Monday is COLLEGE SHIRT DAY! Seniors if you are headed to college in the fall and have a shirt of said college, wear it!!

Student Council Applications are open for next year! Anyone interested in applying can get
an application from outside Mrs. Deitrick’s room. They are due on Wednesday, May 17 by the end of the day. All current members must reapply! See Mrs. Deitrick if you have any questions.

Silver Cord verification sheets for Grades 9-11 are due to Mrs. Kriz by Monday, May 15 at 3:30 pm. Hours logged after this date will count towards 2024 hours. New verification sheets will be available at that time.

UHS VARIETY SHOW AUDITIONS: Please see the attached sheet for information regarding auditions for the UHS variety show. Please contact Mr. Bistline or Mr. Tecklenburg if you have any questions or would like to schedule another time. Auditions will be open, so no sign up is required. Please complete the google form prior to auditions.

Grades 9-11 taking an OW class should be 80% complete by May 15th to stay on schedule to finish this trimester.

FOOTBALL 2023 CHEER: There is now a Football Cheer sign up in the office for this fall.

Students, are you looking for a Summer job? The Dysart Family Aquatic Center is looking to hire lifeguards for the 2023 Summer. If you are interested, please contact the City of Dysart or Peg Hennings for more information.

Students that might take the Summer Nurse Aide course through Hawkeye – if you want a job prior to the class finishing, you can apply at La Porte City Care Initiatives! They will hire you as a non-certified aide until class begins, help develop your skills and pay you while you’re in clinicals. Pay is up to $19 and flexible hours. Pick up information in the main office.
