MONDAY, DECEMBER 5TH RED DAY DAY 1

  •  Please check your Silver Cord hours, they have been updated. Please  let me (Mrs. Crawford)  know  ASAP if you have any questions/concerns.  Thanks……These hours are posted on the wall outside the office.
  • It’s time for the annual UMS food drive! From today  through this Wednesday, December 7, you can bring in canned food items or money and leave with your KT teacher. The GRADE with the highest point total at the end of the day on 12/7 wins ice cream and a movie on the morning of December 22 (the day of Holiday Happenings). This is a great opportunity to help those in need! 8th Grade:  93 points…….  6th Grade: 50 points……..7th Grade:  164 points. 
  • SILENT AUCTION SHEETS ARE IN THE OFFICE!!!!  Items up for bid are 3 Precious Moments collectible figurines…….. (maybe a Christmas gift for someone special??)   Get your bids in right away, bidding will end  this Wednesday  MORNING at  8:30 AM. 
  • Don’t forget about the PBIS Drawing, enter your name, only 1 GOT – U!!! The PBIS Store has transformed into a festive Christmas shop!  PLEASE go and check out ALL the new and seasonal items!!! Maybe get some Christmas presents taken care of??????
  •  Please come and cheer on our girls basketball teams today right here at UMS as they play Wapsie Valley.   Games start at 4:15…..  Good Luck and GO KNIGHTS!!
  • Congratulations to our November Students of the Month:  8th Grade:  Mallory Karr, Arica Riedemann, and Lucy Parson.   7th Grade:  Kamryn Foulk, Adi Hinebaugh, and Kendra Stock.  6th Grade:  Linkyn Vaughn,  Jackson Schellhorn, and Alex Daly.                                                                                            
  • Don’t forget we kick off our Countdown to Christmas fun days this Wednesday!  You will be receiving an email with all the information.  COME ON UMS LET’S SHOW OUR CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!!
  • Also, reminder to start bringing in your $1.00 to the office,  to receive  a treat for our Holiday Happenings Event coming up on December 22nd.  
  • Congratulations again to Madi Bistline, Jenika Hartwig, Hayden Hemsath, Elisabeth Lampe, Scarlette Duclos and Elizabeth Fontanini for being chosen for the NEIBA  Honor Band and performed over the weekend  in Oelwein.  They did an AMAZING job.  Great way to represent Union.   
  •   SILVER CORD OPPORTUNITY COMING UP NEXT TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13TH.  Here is the information if you are interested… The LPC PTO  are having our annual Santa Cottage on Tuesday,  December 13th. We are looking for some volunteers and thought this would be a good opportunity for any middle school students looking for  some Silver cord hours.
