Hello Class of 2029-2030,
The Union Leadership in Action class is beginning a Buddy System project at UHS in hopes of encouraging ways to help hold each other accountable, create new connections with upper classmates, and make new friends who can share advice! During this project, you will meet with a buddy once a week during WIN and talk about life, sports, shows, conflicts, school, homework, ideas you may have or anything on your mind. In the time where you aren’t talking or helping with school work, you could be helping take our recycling, emptying dehumidifiers, and tidying up the school to earn silver cord volunteering hours. Consider signing up today to have a mentor you can go to and allow someone to make a change in your life. We hope to see great things come from this project, and to hopefully see a positive change within our school. We have 15 juniors and seniors signed up who wished they’d had a mentor when they entered UHS! Today is the deadline day for freshman and sophomores to sign up. Sign up HERE today!

Friday: Union Spirit Day

Seniors will be meeting in the Auditorium Friday during WIN to review the mandatory Civics Test information.

Our Northwest Iowa Community College Admissions rep will be here Thursday, October 2 at 2 PM. NCC is located in Sheldon, Iowa and is known for their programs in Powerline Technology, Nursing, Electrical Engineering Technician, and Liberal Arts and Sciences. They were also ranked in the top 10 nationally for their online programs in Agriculture and Psychology. This visit is open to all sophomores through seniors. If you’d like to attend, please submit your name through this Form.

HOMECOMING GUEST FORMS: There are now Homecoming Guest forms in the office. If you plan to bring someone to the Homecoming Dance that does not attend Union High School, please pick up a form and have it completed and returned by October 7th.
