7th Graders: The Iowa League of Cities invites 7th-grade students to participate in the “If I Were Mayor” essay contest, sponsored by Snyder & Associates, promoting civic engagement and leadership. Regional winners receive scholarships, and a statewide winner is honored at a city council event. Mayors and educators want to encourage student involvement in local government. The Wolf Creek Players are holding auditions for their upcoming November play, “The Many Disguises of Robin Hood” Auditions (open to any K-12 students) are going to be held at the Dysart Public Library this Sunday, September 13th from 1-3 pm.
