FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 BLACK DAY DAY 2

  • 6th Graders:    If you would like to attend the Benton County Safety Day Camp it is coming up on Saturday, September 20th. Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, September 16th.  You will be receiving packets from your KT teacher, but if you need one we have some AVAILABLE  in the office. 
  • REMINDER:   HOMECOMING WEEK IS NEXT WEEK !!!  Here are the dress up days:     Tuesday:  PJ  (pajama) Day       Wednesday:  Dress like a teacher day (dress like your favorite teacher)     Thursday: Sports Day –  wear your favorite team’s jersey, t-shirt, etc…    Friday:  Spirit Day – WEAR your UNION Attire (black, red, and silver)  Let’s show our school spirit!!!  GO KNIGHTS!!! 
  • No School for students on Monday, September 15th 
  • The girls team placed first as a team!  Top finishers for the girls were Ainsley Miller (3rd place), Annie Parson (5th place), Addison Taylor (7th place) and Amya Hinebaugh (9th place).  Kinley Hennings placed in the top 20 and Lucy Grimm and Audrey Pearson placed in the top 30! Way to go, girls!
  • The boys team ran well! Top finishers for the boys include Parker Priebe (22nd place), Cael Reiter (23rd place), Isaac Daly (26th place).  Keep up the great work, runners! 
  • The 8th-grade volleyball team had an exciting night of volleyball.  The girls started the afternoon strong, winning games 1 and 2.  During the 3rd game, Hudson took an early lead.  Our Union Knights climbed back after being down by as many as 6 points.  We played each game to 25, and our girls held Hudson at 24 for 4 serves in a row.  We continued to battle, but fell just short, losing 26-28.  Then the girls went on to scoop up the last 3 games of the game, making the night an overall success, winning 5 of the 6 games.  Way to go, girls!
  • Great effort by our UMS football teams against some  tough Grundy Center teams
