Thursday, May 15th 2025 Red day #5

Congrats to the boys golf team on their strong showing at the sectional meet in Denver yesterday. The team finished in 4th place nearly qualifying for the district round. Freshman Nash Schmitz and sophomore Coy Mehlert did advance as individuals and will play Monday with an opportunity to advance to the state meet.

GOOD LUCK tonight to the girls and boys track teams who are running, jumping and throwing at districts in Cresco!!

GOOD LUCK to the girls soccer teams who have home games against Gladbrook-Reinbeck!!

Please see the information below regarding girls tennis regionals at UHS:
Union will be hosting a Girls Team Regional Tournament on Friday 5/16.
JUST A NOTE FOR STUDENTS:
Tennis is a silent sport to observe play. When a player does earn the point with a winning shot, it is acceptable to say, “Good Shot” or “Nice Play” quietly. It is acceptable to say a girls name, also. An example of this would be, “Good job, Alivia” or “Yes, Emily” quietly, but any loud districtions are unwelcomed. Clapping, cheering, loud talk, laughter, or watching videos with volume on are all unacceptable forms of support that are distractive and not welcome by the players. A coach can give a sportsmanship warning to any player, teammate, or opponent for disruptions above. We want to be exceptional hosts and earn the respect of our opponents and we would love the support from our own school as this is a first ever consideration for Union to be hosting a REGIONAL tennis event. Thank you for your support.

Student Council applications are officially open! Anyone interested in applying can grab an application from outside Ms. Deitrick’s room. They are due on Monday, May 19. All current members must reapply.
