Anyone that has submitted or plans on submitting Silver Cord hours this year should report to the Aud Thursday during WIN for a group picture for the yearbook.
Grades 9-11 taking Odysseyware classes should be 60% through their courses by Thursday. Emails will be sent to you and your parents on progress.
Silver Cord verification forms for SENIORS are due to Mrs. Kriz by Tuesday, April 22 for it to count for awards day and graduation recognition.
The La Porte City Nursing and Specialty Care is looking for volunteers for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12. If you are interested in helping, please reach out with questions to Morgan Hendryx at 319-342-2125 or mhendryx@careinitiatives.org. Your volunteerism can count toward silver cord volunteering hours and is a great way to help your community.
SUMMER JOB OPENINGS: Union High School is looking for summer maintenance help. These are hourly paid positions. We are searching for three to four students who would be willing to help move desks, clean classrooms and help get the building ready again for the fall. If you are interested, please see Mr. Toenges. or fill out an application (available in the office) and submit it to the high school office.
CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT SIGN UP: An email went out Thursday to Juniors and Seniors with the sign up for both the pickle ball tournament and the cornhole tournament. Sign up early as there are only so many slots available!! PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT IS FULL!!
PROM REMINDER: If you are planning on attending prom, you need to have your detention served NO LATER THAN Wednesday, April 9th.
JUNIORS AND SENIORS: If you are planning on bringing a guest to prom that is NOT a student at Union, they must be in grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 in good standing, or a past graduate under the age of 21. You will need to pick up a guest form in the office that needs to be completed by your parent and the principal, assistant principal or counselor of your guest’s school. This form must be returned to the Union High School office by the end of the day, 4/9/25.
