Congratulations to two members of Union Jazz I on their recognition to the 1A/2A All-State Jazz Band. Ethan Hora was selected on Guitar and Will Asmussen was selected as the Alto Sax Alternate!!
Anyone planning to go out for football next year, there will be a meeting in the MEDIA CENTER during WIN TODAY to discuss off-season information. If you have schedule conflicts, please reach out to Coach Pospisil.
Registration forms were due before break. If you haven’t turned one in, Mrs. Kriz sent a reminder to you and your parents/guardians yesterday. Please turn this in to your advisor or Mrs. Kriz ASAP.

Students in grades 9-11 taking OW class/es should be 40% through their class/es by tomorrow. Progress emails will be sent.
Juniors: Next Wednesday, March 26 from 5:30-6:30 PM is the “How to Pay for College – Understanding the Financial Aid Process” virtual presentation with Iowa College Access Network. You must pre-register for this event. REGISTER HERE! If you’d like hard copies of the handouts, please stop in to see me anytime prior to the presentation.
PROM IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!! Prom is Saturday April 12th, 2025. Prom tickets are $30 for all students whether you plan to take advantage of the provided meal or not. You can now sign up for prom in the office. Students will have until Friday March 28th to sign up for the meal at the Courtyard Marriott catered by Starbecks Smokehouse (pulled chicken, pulled pork, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and green beans with a roll). Tickets without a meal can be purchased through April 4th. All tickets must be paid for by April 4.
PROM REMINDER: If you are planning on attending prom, you need to have your detention served NO LATER THAN Wednesday, April 9th.
JUNIORS AND SENIORS: If you are planning on bringing a guest to prom that is NOT a student at Union, they must be in grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 in good standing, or a past graduate under the age of 21. You will need to pick up a guest form in the office that needs to be completed by your parent and the principal, assistant principal or counselor of your guest’s school. This form must be returned to the Union High School office by the end of the day, 4/9/25.
SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITIES!! Its not to early to start thinking about a summer job. The Dysart Aquatic Center is taking applications for lifeguards and concession workers for the summer. Applications are available at Dysart City Hall or on the web site www.cityofdysartia.com
SENIORS: Please remember that we need your senior photo for the wall composite. It needs to be a fairly close up photo that is up and down/portrait orientation. You can drop off a photo to the office or email it to k_gleason@union.k12.ia.us THANK YOU!!!
