CONGRATULATIONS to Millie Condon who took 2nd last Thursday at districts and is headed to the State Cross Country Meet this Saturday!!!

CONGRATS to the volleyball team who beat Roland Story Thursday night and will play tomorrow night in the final regional round against West Delaware right here at UHS!!

CONGRATS to the football team as they knocked off #1 seed Waukon Friday night by a score of 21-7. They advance to the next round and are headed to Van Meter to take on the Bulldogs this Friday night!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Lucy Parson who WON the 100y breaststroke title at the MVC Championships in Dubuque on Saturday!!

CONGRATS also to the all-state performers on Saturday!! 17 students completed an audition. Austin Martin was recalled to the second round and Elisabeth Lampe was selected as 2nd alternate!

ALL XC RUNNERS NEED TO TURN UNIFORMS IN TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24.

The National Honor Society is challenging students and staff to “Go Nuts” and bring as many nut butter jars this week as they can to their advisor. At the end of the week, the advisory with the most jars gets pizza sponsored by Casey’s General Stores. There will also be individual awards for the students in each grade that bring in the most jars. So students should put a sticky note with their name on what they bring. Nut butter includes peanut butter, sun butter, almond, cashew, etc. This is a highly needed food item for the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. Mrs. Weivoda’s advisory is to bring everything to the counseling office.

Waterloo Career Center students with a Quarter 2 class – class begins on Thursday. Make sure you know what time to be at the WCC building. See Mrs. Kriz with questions.

Advisory will be Thursday this week.

HYPNOTIZED LIVE!! There will be a hypnotist show on December 2nd as a fundraiser for UHS after prom. Tickets will go on sale in November. There is a poster in the office with details.

PHOTO RETAKES are Monday, November 6th.

There is now a WINTER CHEER sign up in the office. If you are interested in either being a basketball or wrestling cheerleader, please stop by the office and sign up. There will be a parent meeting for winter cheer on Sunday, October 29th at 6 pm.
