GIRLS STATE WRESTLING UPDATE: Jillian pinned her first opponent in 1:26 in the first round. She will wrestle again hopefully noonish? Way to go Jillian!!!

BOYS SOCCER MEETING: There will be a boys soccer meeting Monday, February 6th at 1:00 pm in the upper gym.

Students that have taken Nutrition II (now or in the past): Mrs. Stoakes will be offering a Nutrition III class Trimester 3. This may or may not be the only opportunity to take this class. If you’d like to add it to your schedule, please see Mrs. Kriz this week!

IN NEED OF SERVICE HOURS? Union High School has been honored with the opportunity to host the District Individual Events Speech Contest again this year! The District Individual Event Contest will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Union Middle School. We are in need of volunteers for room chairs, time keepers, and additional tasks that may be needed at the contest. Please contact Mr. Bostian or Ms. Sauer to volunteer or with questions.

MANDATORY GIRLS TRACK MEETING: There is a mandatory girls track meeting during WIN on Monday, February 6. Any girls planning to go out must attend. Please select Mr. Parson for WIN that day for the meeting.

UNI is hosting their annual Young Women in Leadership Conference March 9, 2023. This is for grades 9-12. The events of the day will look at strong leadership skills which are crucial to school and business in life. We are looking for at least 12-15 students who would be interested in attending. Please email me with your name if interested. v_warren@union.k12.ia.us. Please reply by February 10th so we can get registered.

Its time to nominate that special teacher in your life for the 2023 Gold Star Award for Outstanding Teaching! Nomination forms are in the office and the Media Center. Please have your nominations in by Monday February 20th. This is a fantastic way to show a teacher your appreciation for going above and beyond and making a difference!
