Congratulations to the Academic Decathlon team for getting 1st place in the regional competition and the Super Quiz!! Also congratulations on being the highest scoring small school in the entire state regionals.
We will be competing in the state competition on March 4th and 5th in Mason City.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) Student of Integrity Scholarship is due to Mrs. Kriz by Friday if you want to be considered for the UHS nomination.
The 2022 Young Women in Leadership Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from morning to early afternoon. This fourth annual event, hosted by the University of Northern Iowa Women in Business, is open to all high school students and is geared toward developing young leaders. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers focused on topics relating to leadership, as well as personal and professional development. Please let Mrs. Warren know if you are interested ASAP and we need to have at least 10-12 students that want to attend on March 9, 2022. Please email Mrs.Warren by 2.4.2022 if interested.

If you answered yes to any of these, then Individual Speech is for you. Mr. Bostian is currently looking for students interested in individual speech contest. Categories are: prose, improvisation, acting, public address, reviewing, radio news announcing, poetry, spontaneous speaking, literary program, original oratory, after dinner speaking, solo musical theater, expository address, and storytelling. If you are interested at all, please stop by his room and talk. Contest is here at Union High School on February 26th.
