Congratulations to the Union Individual Speech team for advancing all six entries to state competition. Those receiving Division I’s and their categories at contest were:

Ava Corman – Original Oratory
Rebekah Dickerson – Acting and Solo Musical Theater
Laura Rempe – Solo Musical Theater
Carlie Spore – Solo Musical Theater
Caitlyn Wylie – Original Oratory

All performers will compete at state competition at Clear Lake on March 12th. Good luck and great job!

Mr. Bostian would like to thank all who made contributions, either in supplies or time, for the District Individual Speech Contest this past weekend at the Union Middle School. We had over 300 students, along with their parents and friends, perform over 450 pieces all day this past Saturday. We could not have done it without all the help of the faculties of both Union High School and Middle School, and all the help from the communities. If you did not get a chance to experience it, do not fret…we will be hosting again.

Congrats to Union’s Jazz bands as they did well this weekend at the Coe College Jazz Summit!! Jazz I placed 2nd in 2A and Joe Bistline was named honorable mention musician!!

MR. BERGMEIER’S 4TH HOUR BUSINESS LEADERSHIP CLASS WILL BE EATING A LUNCH TODAY AND MRS. SMITH’S STUDY HALL WILL BE EATING B LUNCH.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Junior League will be hosting their 11th annual Prom’s Closet on Friday, March 4th from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday March 5th from 9 a.m. to Noon in the formal Vanity space in Crossroads Mall. All Dresses are $20. Please stop by the office and take a look at the flyer if you have questions.

If you are interested in taking Driver’s Ed this winter (next available session will be starting up April 4th) please stop by the office for an informational flyer.
