Wednesday, May 12th, 2021 RED Day Day #1

  • If you have GOT U Tickets be sure to put them in for our weekly drawing in the office.  BE sure to write your first and last name on the back of the tickets!!  This drawing will be for an item of your choice out of the case and a pizza coupon.   I will draw the winners on Friday! Good Luck!   
  • Reminder :  students please be wearing your masks properly and follow the arrows in the hallways.    
  • Silver Cord Hours have been updated again.  They are on the side  of the trophy case.  Be sure to check them out!!! Any questions or concerns just let me know! 
  • Reminder:  ALL Detention time and fees need to be taken care of by Friday, May 28th
  • Please check the list on the window by the office door.  These are the students who have already purchased a yearbook.  You can still purchase a yearbook if you want to, they are $20.00  


  • Silver Cord Opportunity coming up in June.   The Benton County Cattlemen Beef Booth during the Benton County Fair in Vinton on June 23rd through the 27th. Please contact Lori Wauters if interested in helping.  jlwaters@netins.net 
  • Softball and Baseball practice will be starting next Monday.   
  • They haven’t released official results, but I think this is correct!
  • Congrats to the girls track team on an incredible season!  Everyone worked hard and made huge progress!  Many runners ended the season with personal bests and huge cuts in times!  Last night, the 8th grade girls placed 4th and the 7th grade girls placed 6th against tough conference competition.  Way to go, girls! 

 

Two girls were conference champs: Lily Lorenzen in the high jump and Neeley Hennings in the 200m hurdles.

  • Second place finishers were Kate Craft in the shot put, Addie Pospisil in the 100m hurdles, Amilia Condon in the 1500m run, the shuttle hurdle relay team of Myah Pont, Ruby Parson, Amila Condon, and Jailyn Petersen, the shuttle hurdle team of Addie Pospisil, Maddi Martin, Emily Anton, and Neeley Hennings, 

 

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade boys on some great results at the NICL meet last night.

The 7th grade Boys were NICL Conference Champions!!!  The 8th grade boys finished 7th.

1st Place finishers were:

8th Shuttle Hurdle Relay of Andrew Sadler, Gavin Rohrbach, Briar Mast and Justice Luke

8th grade 4 x 100 Relay of Evan Hanus, Justice Luke, Briar Mast, and Hunter Anderson

7th grade Shuttle Hurdle of Ethan Winnike, Mays Weber, Kolton O’Connor, and Preston Christie.  They broke the school record again by 1 second!

Preston Christie also won the 100 meter hurdles

Cade Sorensen won the 200 hurdles.

There were numerous 2nd-8th place finishes as well!  Almost everyone had a personal best time or distance last night!!  Great Job!!!
