Congrats to the Girls golf team on a solid fifth place finish at the Regional playoffs in Clermont yesterday. Freshmen Sydney Schmuecker led the team with a score of 114, 26 strokes better than her season average!! Great Season ladies!!!!
Union Girls Tennis had a fantastic showing at the NICL Conference Girls Tennis Tournament yesterday. Ellie Behrens and Sunshine gray took 3rd. 6 of 9 events received medals for earning 2nd place in the conference; Alexa Weber, Belle Weber, Madelon Rathe, and all three doubles teams consisting of Alexa and Belle Weber, Ellie Behrens and partner Sophie Winkelpleck, and Madelon Rathe partnered with Laura Rempe. OUR NICL VIP was Sophie Winkelpleck to won all of her singles matches to take the #6 NICL Championship! Congratulations, Ladies! The girls are scheduled to start individual regionals tomorrow (Wednesday, May 19) again at Byrnes Park in Waterloo for their shot to be a state champion in either singles or doubles play.
The water fountains are now open and available for use so there are NO water bottles available in the office.
MVP v2.0 is coming back for the 2021-22 school year. Students in current grades 10 and 11 are eligible to apply to be a mentor. Pick up the short application on the guidance office door.

Applications for the Tama County Fair Queen contest are now in the main office. Applicants must be between 16 and 21 years old by August 10, 2021. Applicants must be a member of any service organization (4-H is not a requirement) and reside in Tama County. Applications are due by June 1.
