Congratulations to the girls’ tennis team on a full sweep of Marion on Friday night. The girls were 22-0 meaning everyone won their matches. Of the 181 total games, Union girls went 145-36 on the evening. If you see these girls, please congratulate and keep encouraging them in their game. Congrats to the Boys Golf team on their win last night over Sumner Fredericksburg!! TJ Freeland was medalist with a round of 40. Josef Schmitz was runner up medalist with a 43. Eden Hansen led the Girls team with a 57.

Good luck tonight to the Boys tennis team as they take on Waverly Shell Rock here at UHS, to the Boys and Girls track teams (Boys headed to AP and girls headed to DNH) and to the Boys soccer players who are headed to Decorah!!!

Seniors, we will retake the senior class picture TOMORROW, April 28th during WIN. We will have to go fast and Lifetouch will be here to take the picture. We will meet in the gym. Order forms for the picture will be given a couple weeks ahead of time as soon as Lifetouch sends them if you would like to purchase one.

Current 9th, 10th & 11th Grade students: The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa is currently seeking applications for their Teen Trust program. This is a youth philanthropy opportunity composed of 24 students from area high schools who have access to a $15,000 grant and work as a team to decide which organizations to assist through financial aid and volunteerism. This is a great opportunity to build leadership, use your voice and perspective, learn more about non-profits, business practices and finances! We have had a handful of students the past 10 years participate in this program – all have learned a lot and enjoyed their experiences! Applications are due this Friday, April 30. SENIORS: If you would like a complimentary senior announcement, Matt with Herff Jones will be here at the school on Wednesday, April 28th from 3-5 to give you one. If you would like to purchase more, cost is $1.75 each. Please stop by the office if you are interested in purchasing some.

CLASS RINGS: Matt with Herff Jones was here during advisory to speak to freshmen about class rings. He will be here from 3-5 on Wednesday, April 28th to take orders. If you were not at the meeting and would like to order a class ring, there are order forms and information in the office.
