Pathways Behavioral Health is looking for student leaders that want to participate in a youth-led tobacco/nicotine prevention movement called ISTEP. This is open to all current students grades 9-11. The chapter would meet 1-2 times per month. If interested, sign up in the main office by spring break.
There will be WIN Monday and Tuesday and advisory Wednesday through Friday next week.
There is Accuplacer testing available next Thursday. Sign up through your Canvas calendar (UHS 2020-21 class).
Seniors: the Ascalon Masonic Lodge Scholarship and Myers-Gordy-Pippert Dysart American Legion Scholarship are due Friday! Eligible applicants must be from the Dysart-Geneseo area.
Seniors: the LPC Women’s Club Scholarship (open to all), Susan L. Loeb Memorial Scholarship (open to all pursuing healthcare fields), and Trowel Lodge #216 Scholarship (open to LPC & Mt. Auburn students) are due next Friday.

Registration is now open for the 2021 Young Women in Leadership Conference at the University of Northern Iowa on Wednesday, April 14th. This annual event, hosted by the University of Northern Iowa Women in Business, is open to all high school students and is geared toward developing women leaders. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers focused on topics relating to leadership, personal, and professional development. A t-shirt and lunch will be provided. I must have at least 12-15 students sign up in order to make this work. Email me (Mrs. Warren) v_warren@union.k12.ia.us by Monday, March 22 with your name and t-shirt size if you want to attend the conference. The conference starts at 8:00 and lasts until 12:30.
Tickets for Union’s Spring Musical “Into The Woods” are now on sale. The show is March 12 and 13th at 7pm. You can either purchase tickets in the high school office or on line at https://unionhighschool.ludus.com/
Juniors and seniors: the JA Titan Challenge is hosting a virtual competition this year on Wednesday, April 7 from 8-12. JA Titan challenges students to apply their knowledge of business as they compete online in the highly competitive industry. Students enter decisions about price, production, marketing, capital investment, and research and development. The impact of their decisions will lead to the success or failure of each Holo-Generator company. Students will work in groups of two (2). Please see Mrs. Warren for sign up details.
There is now GIRLS TENNIS OPEN GYM every weeknight at 4:15 in the upper gym.
