Congratulations to the Union Academic Decathlon team for winning their regional competition and getting the second highest point total of any small school team in the state!!! On to state competition March 1st and 2nd!

Congrats to Cade Shepard who qualified for state in boys swimming in the 200 IM and 100 breast!!! He will compete at the University of Iowa this Saturday. Way to go Cade!!!

Accuplacer testing is available this Thursday, February 7. Find the sign up outside Mrs. Kriz’s office. Seats are limited!

There is no scholarship help/work time this Wednesday during WIN with Mrs. Kriz.

Juniors/Seniors eligible for NHS – your service materials are due this Friday by 3:30 pm to Mrs. Kriz! No exceptions!

There are a lot of available scholarships for seniors this month – make some time to apply!

It’s that time of year again! Time to nominate a teacher that you feel deserves the 2019 Gold Star Award for Outstanding teaching. There are nomination forms in the office or in the media center. Nominations must be submitted by the end of the day February 20th.

Tonight’s boys freshman game at Denver has been cancelled. It will be JV/Varsity only with the JV game starting at 5:30. The bus leaves at 4:15

There is a sign up in the office for anyone interested in volunteer to be a athlete buddy at Special Olympics on Sunday, March 3 at the UNIdome.

There is now a BOYS GOLF sign up on Mr. Slater’s door (room #4).

There is now a BOYS TRACK sign up in the office.

There is now a BOYS BASEBALL sign up in the office.

Today and tomorrow, (2/4 and 2/5), Vincen from Sportability of Iowa, will be visiting our PE classes. Be sure to get a waiver formed signed by a parent/guardian if you want to have the chance to play wheelchair basketball. Hard copies of the waivers are available today in the LMC and gym or Mrs. Wittenburg will send it to parents electronically for them to print and sign.

There will be a girl’s track meeting in Mr. Parson’s room on Tuesday, February 5th during WIN

Girls track practice will begin on February 11th. Please make sure your physical is up to date and on file with the office.

Happy belated Birthday to Abigail Thompson and Bradyn Abe who celebrated birthdays over the weekend and Happy Birthday today to Jasmyn Bush!!!
