Key Card Entry System

As many of you well know, the top priority of the Union Community School District Board of Education is safety and security. To this end, we applied for grant money through the governor’s safety and security initiative, and we have received those funds. With a portion of this monetary allowance, the board approved installation of a new, district-wide key card entry system for all schools. The goal, in the simplest terms, is for district personnel to have knowledge of who is in the buildings and when they are there, especially during non-school hours.

For complete details on the new system, please see the letter from Superintendent John Howard.
