Due to the recent limiting of restrictions, Union High School is pleased to announce we will now be able to have an in-person graduation on Sunday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. Per the guidelines put out by the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Black Hawk County Health Department, Union High School will need to follow the following restrictions:
- Attendance is limited to the parents and guardians of the graduate (the virtual graduation will be released for others to view)
- The practice of social distancing is required. Immediate families are allowed to sit together, but family groups must be separated by six feet.
- Masks are encouraged, but not required
- Photos will be allowed following the ceremony, these will only be allowed with immediate family members.
Just a reminder to please be flexible with us, as you are aware guidance from the IDPH and the Governor changes quickly and we may need to adjust our guidelines as well.
Seniors will need to arrive at the High School and report to the Auditorium by 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 21 and will need to bring their cap and tassel with them. Business casual dress is encouraged for all students. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Toenges, Mr. Slack, or call the High School Office, 319-342-2697.
